Qualifications

• Two (2) years of accounting experience, preferably in a governmental or public agency.
• Experience with account reconciliations and analysis; strong Excel skills; grants accounting experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies and errors.

Responsibilities

• Provide accounting and financial support for special projects to ensure accuracy and grant compliance.
• Perform accounting for grants, including tracking expenditures, preparing grant reports, and close-out activities.
• Prepare journal entries and reconciliations of general ledger and trust accounts; review invoices and contracts for accuracy.
• Coordinate with analysts and internal stakeholders and participate in grant administration meetings.
• Communicate clearly with internal teams and external partners and meet deadlines (grant reporting, budget development, month-end close).
• Prepare and maintain accounting records and assist audits.
