The State of Illinois Office of the Comptroller invites applications for the position of Funds Manager/Accountant for PLACE Department. This role handles fiscal oversight, audits, and licensing-related financial data.

Responsibilities include reviewing PLACE transactions, maintaining databases, and preparing GAAP-compliant reports while collaborating across teams. Hybrid schedule, in-office 3–5 days weekly, with strong emphasis on accuracy and timely reporting.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or public administration accounting.
• 2–3 years of progressively responsible administrative accounting experience.
• Knowledge of governmental accounting or auditing.

Responsabilidades

• Review and process financial information for PLACE database and ensure funds are correctly placed in trusts.
• Develop and maintain databases for accounts payable/receivable and GAAP reporting.
• Prepare monthly/annual budget reports and expenditure projections for the PLACE division.
• Assist with Annual Fee Imposition Reporting and debt collection processes.
