Job summary

DCYF in Washington state is seeking a Fiscal Analyst 2 to support financial operations across the FBSD and regional centers. You will perform professional financial review and GAAP-based analysis, manage purchasing, travel, accounts payable, and client services with accurate, on-time results.

This role emphasizes attention to detail, independent work, and collaboration within a team of fiscal professionals to support services for children, youth, and families across Regions 5 and 6.

Qualifications

• Equivalent education/experience totaling four (4) years.
• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degrees or certifications preferred.
• Ability to learn quickly and grow in a public-sector environment.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate across teams.

Responsibilities

• Research and process purchase orders following state policies.
• Monitor travel requests and arrange hotels, flights, and car rentals.
• Review TEMS records to ensure compliance with SAAM and policies before expense payments.
• Reconcile travel statements and post payment data to bank accounts.
• Apply proper Chart of Accounts coding and prepare payment batches.
• Analyze accounting data for GAAP compliance and discrepancies.
• Prepare monthly expenditure reports and monitor fiscal status and allotments.
• Prepare accruals, process warrant cancellations, and assist with year-end close.
• Maintain Stored Value Cards and assist with field office audits.
• Provide backup support for travel and purchasing analysts; handle other duties as assigned.
