Job summary

The State of Washington's DSHS FTAA invites applications for a Fiscal Analyst 2 in Olympia to support the Residential Billing Unit.

You will manage billing, processing CMS claims, refunds, and adjustments, and ensure accurate accounts receivable while coordinating with BHHA and internal teams.

Strong attention to detail, adaptability, and the ability to learn complex financial systems are essential; proficiency with MS Office is desired.

Responsibilities

• Process and submit electronic and manual billing, including CMS claims, statements, refunds, write-offs, and updates.
• Monitor claim acceptance and denials, complete resubmissions, and maintain logs for cash distribution and denials.
• Review, verify, and correct accounting data in financial systems while reconciling accounts.
• Analyze financial reports and resolve accounts payable discrepancies.
• Coordinate with facility staff and insurance payers to resolve billing issues and ensure accuracy of coding and service information.
• Work with internal systems and partners to ensure timely and accurate mental health and developmental disabilities census reporting.
• Collaborate with the Revenue and Billing Unit and other internal teams to support effective billing operations and collections.
