Public Consulting Group is seeking a financial analyst to support cost modeling, budgeting, and strategic decision-making across health, education, and human services projects in the Boston area.

The role involves advanced Excel modeling, preparing executive communications, and collaborating with leaders on forecasts and performance metrics. Hybrid work arrangements are available, with opportunities to influence key financial decisions and drive efficiency.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical skills to analyze and organize data.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is preferred.
• 3+ years financial analysis or accounting experience.

Responsibilities

• Completes cost models to predict pricing and profitability of new business and existing operations.
• Supports management in achieving business objectives and development of executive communications and presentations.
• Supports Senior Management Team and Department heads with in-depth financial and strategic analysis.
• Analyzes current and historical financial trends/impact in revenue, expenses, capex and potential acquisitions.
• Provides clear, thorough analysis on market trends, program performance, opportunities, and risks.
• Monitors and develops KPIs including IRR, NPV, yield and margin analysis.
• Delivers monthly financial results with department heads and recommends corrective actions.
• Contributes to annual financial planning and quarterly forecasting with templates and presentations.
• Develops financial models and analyses to support strategic initiatives.
• Assists with month-end close and data reconciliation.
