Job summary

Stanislaus County's Behavioral Health & Recovery Services Department seeks a Manager I/II/III to lead the Fiscal/Administrative Division, supervising Accountant II and III staff and advising program managers on fiscal performance.

The successful candidate will ensure fiscal integrity, regulatory compliance, and sound stewardship of public funds, overseeing grants exceeding $50 million and contracts over $100 million.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in public or business administration, Accounting, Finance, Contract Management or a closely related field.
• Demonstrated management experience in a public agency setting.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and governmental fund accounting.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and coordinate policies, activities, and staff of the BHRS Program Accounting subdivision.
• Oversee program accounting responsibilities and act as fiscal partner to BHRS Program Managers.
• Assist with development, reporting, and implementation of department budgets, program trends and contract spending.
• Oversee grant monitoring and reporting to ensure GAAP compliance and audit readiness.
• Lead collaboration across departments and stakeholders to improve fiscal performance.
