Job summary

Metro’s WPES Finance Manager leads the department’s budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis, partnering with WPES leaders to guide strategic decisions and fund stewardship. The role also oversees contracts, accounts payable, revenue recognition, and internal controls, ensuring accuracy and compliance while supporting performance and transparency across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Public Administration, or a related field.
• Seven years of progressively responsible budgeting and accounting experience, including at least five years in a supervisory role.
• Experience translating complex financial information into actionable insights and recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the department’s annual operating and capital budgets and financial planning.
• Provide strategic financial guidance to WPES leadership and stakeholders.
• Supervise staff responsible for contracts, accounts payable, revenue recognition and internal controls.
• Develop and implement cost recovery models, grant accounting, and regulatory reporting.
• Deliver timely financial reporting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
