Job summary

Anysphere is hiring Field Engineers to partner with prospective and strategic customers across Public Sector. You will be the technical face of Anysphere for federal civilian and defense agencies, helping teams evaluate Cursor and see its value in real workflows.

You’ll work with Sales, Product, and Engineering as a deal partner, scope solutions, deliver demos, and act as a trusted advisor across stakeholders to drive adoption and inform product direction.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and ability to present to varied audiences.
• Understand the SDLC and connect technical detail to mission impact.
• Hands-on technical fluency in developer workflows and AI tooling.
• Experience in Field Engineering, Solutions Architecture, Pre-Sales, or Consulting, preferably in federal/defense.

Responsibilities

• Partner with AEs to own technical discovery, demos, POCs, and validation for new deals.
• Build trusted relationships across engineering, security, product and IT stakeholders.
• Go deep in mission-critical, high-security environments and developer workflows.
• Help customers connect Cursor to outcomes that matter: productivity, secure delivery, mission velocity.
• Deliver technical presentations, whiteboards, and workshops for technical and executive audiences.
• Advocate for customers internally with Product and Engineering.
• Partner with post-sales to hand off and enable onboarding.
