Job summary

Kinetic, a business unit of Uniti, is seeking a Government Account Executive to drive fiber and telecom growth in school districts, municipalities, and state agencies. You will close high‑value opportunities and manage complex procurement within the public sector.

Leverage E‑Rate funding knowledge to deliver high‑capacity connectivity and security solutions, building trusted relationships with public officials and education leaders on long, strategic sales cycles.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of outside sales experience in State/Local/Education (SLED).
• Deep understanding of fiber, Ethernet, VoIP and SD‑WAN solutions.
• Familiarity with government bidding processes, budgets and E‑Rate.
• Proven ability to build long-term partnerships with public officials and educators.
• Excellent presentation skills, able to convey technical value to non‑technical stakeholders.
• Self‑driven hunter with ability to manage long and complex sales cycles.

Responsibilities

• Prospect and close new fiber/telecom contracts in the SLED vertical.
• Lead end‑to‑end RFP/RFQ processes and government purchasing vehicles.
• Drive E‑Rate strategy for K‑12 accounts and funding cycles.
• Build relationships with CIOs, IT Directors, City Managers, and purchasing teams.
• Consult with clients to design networking solutions including DIA, WAN/LAN, Hosted Voice, and Security.
• Maintain accurate territory forecasts and account plans to meet revenue targets.
