Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent.
  • Master's degree in statistics, economics, or related quantitative social science preferred.
  • Experience with economic, workforce, demographic, education, or public-sector datasets.
  • Proficiency in R, Python, or Julia for data analysis and reproducible research.
  • Experience presenting complex information to technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Manage ongoing applied research projects including planning, data collection, analysis and coordination of deliverables.
  • Write and edit code using statistical computing tools (R, Julia, Python) following best practices.
  • Analyze the economic and fiscal impact of tax policy and communicate results in writing or presentations.
  • Automate data collection and connect disparate data sources to support research.
  • Develop and deliver trainings for clients and stakeholders; coordinate with clients to meet needs.
  • Support evaluation and impact assessment efforts within workforce and economic development projects.
