Job summary

The City and County of Denver Auditor's Office seeks a highly motivated Audit Analytics Intern to perform data analytics supporting audit functions. You will work under guidance to learn how data analytics assess risks in city operations, with projects in performance and financial audits, IT audits, and other studies.

Hybrid work is required; on-site in Downtown Denver with remote work days, within Colorado. A stable home internet connection is necessary.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in a bachelor's degree or higher program or recent graduate.
• Strong analytical and numerical capabilities.
• Experience using Python to prepare and analyze data.

Responsibilities

• Assist in identifying data requirements for analytics projects.
• Develop Python scripts to merge datasets and identify outliers and trends.
• Automate data collection, analysis, and reporting steps with Python.
