Job summary

State of Oregon Department of Human Services, Office of Training, Investigations and Safety (OTIS) in Salem seeks a Data Analyst (Research Analyst 3) to support data systems for safeguarding vulnerable populations. You will collaborate across ODHS and OHA programs to plan, gather, analyze, and present data that informs decisions and policy.

Key duties include creating dashboards, forecasting impacts, and coordinating cross‑program projects while maintaining data quality.

Qualifications

• Degree requiring statistics or quantitative analysis coursework plus data analysis experience.
• Experience gathering, compiling, analyzing data and producing reports.
• Four years’ research data analysis experience optional in lieu of degree.

Responsibilities

• Analyze data with reports, dashboards, graphs and tables for performance decisions.
• Organize and present information, conclusions and recommendations in writing and oral form.
• Retrieve, edit and tabulate data from various databases using approved software.
• Produce dashboards and reports to support performance management and forecasting.
• Plan OTIS projects to provide leadership with timely information for decisions.
• Identify information from ODHS and OHA systems to support projects.
• Oversee distribution of work, prioritize tasks, and mentor team members.
• Monitor QA and data quality to maintain complete data sets.
