The candidate will oversee financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and audit activities, ensuring accuracy and transparency in government accounting standards.

Qualifications

• Active CPA license required.
• Extensive GASB knowledge and public-sector accounting experience.
• Proven track record leading financial statement audits.
• Experience with ACFR, SEFA, and Single Audit.
• Strong regulatory compliance and internal control expertise.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation and oversight of annual audited financial statements and regulatory disclosures.
• Direct the development of the ACFR in accordance with GASB.
• Manage annual financial audits and Single Audits with external auditors.
• Oversee SEFA preparation and federal/state/local reporting requirements.
• Ensure compliance with governmental accounting principles and internal controls.
• Provide leadership to accounting personnel and drive process improvements.
• Collaborate with executive leadership for financial analysis and strategic recommendations.
