Job summary

Baker Tilly US is seeking a Public Sector Advisory Intern to gain hands-on consulting experience across a coast-to-coast firm. You will work on diverse client engagements, build your professional network, and participate in orientation and a structured development program designed to grow your technical and client service skills.

Successful candidates are enrolled in a relevant degree, may pursue CPA licensure, and must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled or pursuing a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, public policy, public administration, MPA, MPP, or a related field
• Active pursuit of CPA licensure a plus
• Must have at least one academic term remaining following completion of the internship
• Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or in the future.
• Candidates must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Support diverse client engagements in the public sector consulting practice
• Gain hands-on experience and build your professional network
• Participate in intern orientation, training, and development programs
• Assist with internal control risk, operations, and organizational reviews
• Collaborate with staff, seniors, managers, and partners across public sector engagements
• Engage with municipal governments, school districts, and public power agencies
