Job summary

Baker Tilly is seeking a Summer 2027 Public Sector Advisory Intern (Fiscal Operations) in Indianapolis. You will support client engagements, gain hands-on experience, and contribute to internal control reviews across municipal governments, school districts and public power agencies. Candidate should be pursuing a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field, with strong time management and teamwork.

Authorization to work in the U.S. is required; CPA licensure pursued is a plus.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, public policy, public administration, MPA or related field
• Active pursuit of CPA licensure is a plus
• Authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or in the future
• Candidates must be at least 18 years of age

Responsibilities

• Perform internal control risk, operations, and organizational reviews
• Collaborate with Staff, Seniors, Managers and Partners with specialized experience in the public sector
• Engage directly with municipal governments, school districts and public power agencies
• Build relationships and contribute to client engagements through hands-on learning and development
