Job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Public Sector Compliance Analyst based in the United States.

We are seeking a detail-oriented Public Sector Compliance Analyst to manage critical contractual reporting obligations across public sector contracts.

In this role, you will oversee recurring sales, service-level agreement (SLA), usage, performance, and compliance reports, ensuring every submission is accurate, complete, and delivered on time.

You will collaborate with teams across Finance, Operations, Billing, Sales, Service Delivery, and Compliance to validate data and mitigate contractual risk.

Your work will help maintain audit-ready documentation, resolve data discrepancies at their source, and strengthen reporting controls.

You will also identify opportunities to automate recurring processes, improve reporting efficiency, and support a growing portfolio of public sector contracts.

This remote opportunity is ideal for an analytical professional who thrives on accountability, cross-functional collaboration, and continuous process improvement.

You will play a key role in protecting contractual compliance while making reporting operations more reliable, scalable, and efficient.

Accountabilities
  • Manage recurring reporting obligations for public sector contracts, including sales, usage, service-level agreement, outage, performance, and compliance reports.
  • Own the reporting calendar and ensure all contractually required submissions are complete, accurate, and delivered by their deadlines, escalating potential delays proactively.
  • Develop, maintain, validate, and submit reports supporting public sector contract requirements, including CALNET CEM obligations where applicable.
  • Collect, reconcile, and analyze data from multiple business systems to verify accuracy, completeness, and alignment with contractual requirements.
  • Investigate reporting discrepancies, data quality issues, and potential compliance concerns, coordinating corrective actions with relevant stakeholders.
  • Identify recurring data defects and work with the responsible teams to address root causes rather than relying on repeated manual corrections.
  • Maintain reporting procedures, internal controls, supporting documentation, and audit evidence to substantiate submitted reports.
  • Monitor amendments, renewals, and new contract requirements, updating reporting processes and controls before the next submission cycle.
  • Support contract audits, compliance reviews, and customer or manufacturer reporting obligations by maintaining complete, traceable records.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to automate reporting workflows, reduce manual effort, and improve operational efficiency as the contract portfolio expands.
  • Provide guidance and quality assurance for internal teams and third-party reporting resources, without necessarily having direct supervisory authority.
  • Collaborate across Operations, Finance, Billing, Sales, Service Delivery, and Compliance to resolve issues and reduce contractual exposure.
  • Adopt emerging AI tools and technologies where appropriate to improve reporting processes, collaboration, and overall operational effectiveness.
  • Follow applicable organizational policies and standards and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.
  • At least five years of experience in data analytics or a related reporting-focused role.
  • Experience managing contractual or regulatory reporting requirements where inaccurate or late submissions can result in financial penalties or compliance risks.
  • Knowledge of public sector contract compliance, contract sales reporting, and service-level agreement reporting; familiarity with CALNET or comparable state or federal contract vehicles is preferred.
  • Hands-on experience creating reports and dashboards in ServiceNow, rather than solely consuming existing reports, is preferred.
  • Experience in telecommunications, IT services, or managed services environments is an advantage.
  • Strong data analysis and reporting skills, including ServiceNow reporting and familiarity with Power BI or comparable reporting tools.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including reporting automation, and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Demonstrated ability to reconcile data, support audits, investigate discrepancies, and conduct root cause analysis.
  • Experience documenting processes, designing workflows, and establishing efficient, repeatable reporting procedures.
  • Strong analytical thinking, conceptual reasoning, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple reporting cycles and competing deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, persuasion, and influencing skills, particularly when coordinating across teams without direct authority.
  • A proactive, self-directed working style, with a strong sense of ownership, accountability, and commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to provide guidance, review deliverables, and maintain quality standards for internal colleagues and external reporting resources.
  • Comfort adopting new technologies and AI-enabled tools to improve processes and operational performance.
  • Ability to work remotely while maintaining productivity, communication, and availability during agreed-upon working hours.
Benefits
  • Remote work flexibility: Perform your duties from home or another approved remote location within the United States.
  • Comprehensive healthcare: Medical, dental, and vision insurance options.
  • Health spending accounts: Access to Health Savings Accounts (HSAs) and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs).

  • Income protection: Disability and life insurance coverage.

  • Employee assistance: Access to an Employee Assistance Program (EAP).
  • Additional insurance options: Accident, critical illness, long-term care, hospital indemnity, supplemental life, and pet insurance.
  • Additional protections: Legal assistance and identity theft protection options.
