Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in finance (public finance preferred).
• Strong budgeting, accounting, and reporting knowledge; ability to analyze data and present findings.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation, tracking, and review of annual operating and capital budgets.
• Update and maintain the capital improvement program funding reports.
• Coordinate monthly budget correspondence with Member Cities and Customers.
• Analyze financial data and prepare reports on revenue, expenses, and budget performance.
• Support the development and maintenance of long-range strategic financial plans (SFP).
• Perform reconciliations and prepare variance analyses for department and district budgets.
• Contribute to cost allocation models by gathering data and documenting.
• Prepare budget-to-actual reports and other financial summaries for stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate financial records per Records Management Program.
• Assist in financial modeling for operational and capital planning scenarios.
