Job summary

State of Colorado seeks a Budget Analyst I, Enterprise Analyst to support the CDOT transportation enterprises. You will assist with budget requests, monitor expenditures, and coordinate across departments to improve budget processes.

This entry-level role includes training from senior staff and exposure to public budgeting best practices, with a path toward growth. You will work in a hybrid schedule, with in-office and remote days, and contribute to revenue forecasting and legislative budgeting

Qualifications

• Experience in budget administration, finance, or public budgeting.
• Strong analytical, investigative, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, plus facilitation skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office and data analysis software.

Responsibilities

• Provide budgetary support to transportation enterprises and related activities.
• Coordinate annual budget development and ensure alignment with plans.
• Monitor budgets, generate reports, and support transparency in reporting.
• Develop revenue forecasts and assist with legislative budget processes.
