Job summary

The Judicial Council of California is seeking an Auditor to perform compliance audits of superior courts and other judicial branch entities. The role involves reviewing financial information and applying knowledge of the State’s accounting practices, under the direction of a Senior Auditor.

The position requires periodic overnight travel and a hybrid work arrangement with in-person work at San Francisco or Sacramento offices, within a 150-mile radius.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, or a directly related field plus three years of professional auditing experience.
• Master’s degree or additional related experience may substitute for the bachelor’s degree.
• Two years as an Associate Analyst or equivalent experience in auditing or government accounting.

Responsibilities

• Performs audit engagements of superior courts and other judicial branch entities.
• Participates in entrance and exit conferences.
• Plans the scope and approach of audits and prepares work plans for review.
