Job summary

Judicial Council of California is seeking an Auditor to perform compliance audits of superior courts and other judicial branch entities in accordance with the Council’s policies. The role requires reviewing financial information, understanding state accounting practices, and collaborating with staff across offices.

The auditor will travel periodically with the audit team, work under the Senior Auditor, and engage with court personnel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting or a related field with 3 years of professional auditing experience.
• Master’s degree in a related field (accountancy, public policy, or business) preferred.
• Two years as an Associate Analyst in similar duties may substitute for the degree.

Responsibilities

• Conduct compliance audits of superior courts and judicial branch entities.
• Review entity financial information and assess alignment with policies and procedures.
• Travel with audit team; interact with court staff and operate with some independence.
