Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking a Consultant for our State and Local Government team to support public sector clients through analysis, recommendations, and implementation of improvements. Travel up to 50% and close collaboration with project leaders will be essential as you build a high-growth West Coast practice, blending in-person and virtual work with colleagues and clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• 1+ years of relevant professional experience in consulting, public sector, analytics, or a related role.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office tools including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to develop accurate, well-organized written deliverables and presentations.
• Ability to travel throughout the West Coast and, on occasion, outside the state based on client needs.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a core team member on consulting projects from initiation through analysis, solution development, implementation, and closeout.
• Quality assurance of project deliverables and artifacts against industry standards.
• Gather and synthesize information through interviews, focus groups, surveys, and data review.
• Translate complex information into clear written narratives and PowerPoint materials.
• Build and sustain productive client relationships and contribute to a positive team culture.
• Support business development efforts such as research, proposals, and reusable assets.
