Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a Product Operations Engineer to own the health and reliability of AI model integrations with government systems. You will build observability, respond to outages, and drive fixes while coordinating with product, research, and governance teams to meet mission requirements.

The role emphasizes on-call responsiveness, collaboration with federal stakeholders, and responsible handling of critical systems used across multiple agencies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/engineering or a STEM field, or 2+ years software experience in lieu of a degree.
• Experience building scalable systems, APIs, or AI/ML applications.

Responsibilities

• Own health, performance, and stability of integrations between AI models and government systems.
• Develop documentation, metrics, monitors, and troubleshooting tools.
• Respond to alerts, investigate issues, and drive lasting fixes.
• Collaborate with agency stakeholders and product teams to iterate based on feedback.
• Address technical debt and inform strategic investments in core products.
• Participate in on-call rotations during business hours and some weekends.
