Job summary

Jobtailor in Vienna, VA seeks a Senior Principal Data Scientist - AI Lead to own end-to-end AI solution delivery for Public Sector / Government stakeholders. You will drive architectures and coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver trusted AI capabilities.

You will partner with U.S. government agencies on programs involving entity data, validation, and risk insight, shaping roadmaps and ensuring scalable, compliant deployments across federal IT environments.

Qualifications

• Extensive data science and ML/AI development experience for enterprise-scale systems.
• Proven leadership and ability to mentor and grow technical teams.
• Experience delivering AI solutions in IT operations or automation contexts.
• Strong communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to define roadmaps and align AI efforts with business goals.
• Familiarity with ethical AI considerations and bias mitigation.
• Hands-on expertise in Python, Java, or Go; cloud deployment experience.
