Job summary

Gunnison County is seeking an accounting professional to provide financial support across the county, including reporting, audits, grants, budgeting, reconciliations, and related projects. You will collaborate with department heads to meet financial needs and ensure compliance.

The role requires a four-year degree in accounting and at least three years of accounting or finance experience; Colorado driver’s license and ICS 100/ICS 700 within the first year are required.

Qualifications

• Degree in accounting from an accredited four-year college or university.
• Three years of progressively responsible accounting or finance work.
• Any equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs accounting functions and provides financial support to the County including reporting, audits, grants, administration, annual budgeting, reconciliations, and other special financial reporting and projects.
• Correspond with County Department Heads and their delegates to support their financial needs and questions.
