Job summary

Gunnison County is seeking an experienced accountant to perform accounting functions and provide financial support to the County, including reporting, audits, grants, administration, annual budgeting, reconciliations, and other special financial reporting and projects. You will communicate with County Department Heads and delegates to support their financial needs.

The role requires a degree in accounting and at least three years of accounting or finance experience, with potential consideration

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a degree in accounting.
• Degrees in finance, business or public administration, with an emphasis in accounting, or a closely related field, may be considered.

Job Summary

Pay Rate

Starting hourly range is from $32.06 to $36.50 depending on experience, plus full benefits.

• Must possess a valid Colorado driver’s license.
• Must complete IC S 100 and IC S 700 within the first year of employment.

Qualifications/Education

• Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a degree in accounting. Degrees in finance, business or public administration, with an emphasis in accounting, or a closely related field, may be considered, and
• Three (3) years of progressively responsible accounting or finance work, or
• Any equivalent combination of education and experience.
