Qualifications

• Five years of bookkeeping experience and 15 college credits in accounting.
• Bachelor's Degree including or supplemented by fifteen credits in accounting.
• One year as a Fiscal Technician (Commonwealth or federal equivalent) with 15 accounting credits.
• One year as a Financial Programs Trainee (Commonwealth or federal equivalent).
• Successful completion of the Commonwealth Accounting Intern Program.

Responsibilities

• Budget Oversight: Monitor expenditures and budget accounts, prepare reports on status and funding.
• Fund Management: Process resident fund transactions, reconcile bank accounts, maintain records and document activity.
• Financial Analysis: Prepare budget, expenditure, revenue and commitment reports for planning and decision-making.
• Payment Processing: Review invoices, resolve payment issues, verify account coding and support transactions.
• Audit Support: Examine financial documents, assist audits, and identify corrective actions to improve accuracy.
• Vendor and Procurement Liaison: Communicate with vendors and procurement staff to address discrepancies and issues.

Education

Bachelor's Degree with 15 accounting credits
