The City of Haines City is seeking an Accounting professional to support the Finance Department with accounts payable and payroll processing, journal entries, and ledger reconciliation. The role involves preparing financial reports and assisting in audits.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting and at least one year of related experience; strong Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills are preferred.

Qualificações

• Requires Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field with at least 1 year of related work experience preferred.
• Must be able to read and write letters, memos, spreadsheets, and other job-related analyses.
• Must possess excellent oral communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Performs duties to support the Finance Department including review of accounts payable and payroll as assigned.
• Prepares to adjust journal entries to the general ledger to maintain accuracy of financial information.
• Reconciles the general ledger to subsidiary ledgers and bank accounts to verify balances.
• Prepares reports for federal and state regulatory agencies as required to request funding or satisfy financial and reporting requirements.
• Assists in compiling monthly and annual financial statements and reports.
