Government Account Manager Overview

We are hiring Outbound Government Account Managers to generate demand for MRO products and services via phone. Successful candidates will manage a territory, grow sales, increase customer engagement, and expand self-service web usage. Responsibilities include relationship building and new business development with State, Local, and Federal government, including Higher Education and K-12 sectors. Key responsibilities:

  • Make high-volume outbound calls to increase sales and engagement
  • Assist customers in finding solutions to meet their goals
  • Communicate effectively, adapting to customer and business needs
  • Develop and manage sales plans with set goals
  • Demonstrate strong business acumen
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and CRM software
  • Work remotely using collaboration tools like MS Teams and Zoom
Competencies and Skills

Requirements include:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent 2 years of sales experience
  • Prior sales experience with government sectors preferred
  • Knowledge of inside sales including cold calling, business development, customer qualification, and acquisition
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Self-motivated with problem-solving and negotiation skills
  • Strong organization and time management skills
  • Energetic, enthusiastic, and adaptable to a fast-paced environment
