Job summary

Georgia Department of Public Safety seeks a Public Safety Trainer 3 to deliver instruction to statewide personnel. You will participate in needs assessment, research, and the design of training programs.

Responsibilities include instructing basic to advanced topics, evaluating statewide training initiatives, and guiding staff through program development. A strong instructor background and POST certification are required.

Qualifications

• Eighteen months of work experience as an instructor providing training development and delivery in public safety topics OR minimum of five (5) years in law enforcement with training experience.
• Possession of Georgia P.O.S.T. General Instructor certification or its equivalent; must be in good standing with Georgia P.O.S.T.

Responsibilities

• Instructs public safety training in basic, advanced, and specialized topics.
• Participates in needs assessment, research, and evaluation of statewide training programs.
• Directs professional staff in development, review, and revision of statewide training programs.
