Job summary
California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services (Cal OES) is seeking an Electrical Engineer to support the Public Safety Communications division in Sacramento. You will assist Senior engineers with design, installation, maintenance, and operation of statewide telecommunications systems, ensuring critical operations meet state requirements.
You will contribute to reports, equipment selection, and cost estimates while collaborating on multi-disciplinary projects within a dynamic, high-energy
Qualifications
- Experience or knowledge of telecommunications or networking equipment and the documenting and/or coordinating installation thereof.
- Familiarity with DC power systems and radio telecom systems.
- Ability to present test reports and instruction guides for electronics installations.
Responsibilities
- Assist engineering leads in design, installation, maintenance, and operation of statewide telecommunications systems.
- Develop technical reports and equipment selection criteria; provide project cost estimates for parts and labor.
- Notify supervisor of risks to project budget, schedule, or scope; ensure services meet critical operational requirements.
