City of Aurora is seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist – Public Safety to manage recruiting, onboarding, and applicant support for police, fire, 911, courts, and detentions positions. The role emphasizes customer service, communication, and compliance with federal/state laws, supporting a smooth recruitment process for critical public safety roles.

The ideal candidate has a BA/BS in HR or related field, 3+ years in HR, and proficiency with Excel; Workday ATS experience is preferred.

Qualifikationen

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business/public administration, or related field.
• Experience: At least 3 years in the human resources profession.
• Proficient with MS Excel program and data entry.
• Preferred: Workday ATS system experience incl. recruiting workflows.

• Act as main point of contact for all public safety applicants and provide updates.
• Coordinates and facilitates onboarding activities for public safety candidates.
• Maintains applicant tracking systems and records.
• Reviews and evaluates job applications and ensures compliance with laws.
• Writes and places employment advertisements and job opportunity listings.
