Job summary

Kern County Sheriff's Office is seeking qualified candidates for a Department Promotional examination to fill the position of Sheriff's Support Specialist. This open process targets current eligible employees who completed their probation and achieved an overall rating of standard or better on the last performance report.

Applicants must have a High School Diploma or GED, with three years of progressively responsible clerical/office experience and at least one year as a Sheriff's Support

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or GED and 3 years of clerical/office work.
• Typing/keyboard speed 50 net WPM.
• One year experience as Sheriff's Support Technician or equivalent.
• Equivalent education/experience combination allowed.
