The City of Kissimmee is seeking a Community Service Officer to assist sworn officers under supervision, respond to non-emergency calls, and support field operations. You will help at scenes, enforce ordinances, process scenes and collect evidence, and prepare reports for court.

The role requires strong communication, the ability to work under stress, and a valid Florida driver’s license. Prior law enforcement experience or training plus certifications such as NCIC/FCIC are preferred.

Formación

• Requires knowledge of city law enforcement procedures and ability to work under stress.
• Ability to write concise reports and communicate clearly.
• Knowledge of civil process and public interactions.
• Familiarity with local roads and neighborhoods.
• Must pass background checks and hold Florida driver’s license.

Responsabilidades

• Assists officers with duties and responds to non-emergency calls.
• Enforces traffic and parking ordinances; issues citations as appropriate.
• Processes crime scenes; collects and labels evidence; interviews witnesses.
• Provides court testimony as required.
• Operates NCIC/FCIC to conduct checks and retrieve information.
• Assists with investigations and missing person cases.
• Directs traffic at school crossings and events.
• Coordinates neighborhood crime watch programs.
• Performs data entry and prepares case reports.
