Baltimore City Government is seeking a Public Safety Supervisor to oversee security personnel at the Convention Center, schedule and train staff, and ensure safety for guests and employees.
The role requires five years of security experience with at least three years in supervision, and entails preparing reports, handling incidents, and enforcing city and convention center policies. 24/7 shift coverage is required.
Salary Range:
$52,589.00 - $85,712.00 Annually

A Public Safety Supervisor serves as a first line supervisor responsible for scheduling, directing, training, and supervising personnel performing the public safety function for the Convention Center. Public Safety Supervisors prepare reports as needed; investigate and review all reported incidents; prepare, complete, and review evaluations and other administrative tasks; and provide security and safety for guests, employees, contractors, property, and the facility. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Assistant Director of Public Safety. Routine assignments are carried out in accordance with State, City, and other applicable regulations and codes with established practices and procedures.

Education: High School Diploma or GED Certification.
AND
Experience: Five years of security officer experience or related experience, with at least Three years of supervisory experience.*Resume should demonstrate work history and required skills for this position.
OR
Equivalency Notes: Have an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Eligible candidates under final consideration for appointment to positions identified as positions of trust will be required to complete authorization for a Criminal Background Check and/or Fingerprint screening, and must be successfully completed.
All persons, including current City employees, selected for this position must complete a 6-month mandatory probation.
