Qualifications

• Associate's degree and five years of related work experience.
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• Experience in public safety, security, law enforcement, emergency management, or related field.
• Strong organizational, communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to supervise and develop staff.
• Knowledge of safety, security, and emergency management principles.

Responsibilities

• Supervises Public Safety Officers, assigns tasks, and reviews completed work.
• Prepares staffing schedules, including overtime needs.
• Prepares employee performance evaluations.
• Reviews reports submitted by staff and approves or suggests changes.
• Coordinates inspections, testing, and repairs of college-wide alarm systems.
• Oversees repairs to departmental radios and coordinates annual preventative maintenance.
