Job summary

Piedmont Rockdale Hospital in Georgia is seeking a security officer responsible for routine safety and emergency security activities, safeguarding people and property. You will respond as first responder and de-escalate critical events with sound judgment in interaction with combative or escalating individuals.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, no experience required and IAHSS certification within 1 year.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED required.
• No experience required; 2 years in general security preferred.
• Must pass pre-employment psychological screening.
• Must pass and maintain training: taser, ASP baton, Mental Health First Aid.
• IAHSS Security Officer certification within 1 year required.
• Georgia driver license required and adhere to Vehicle Safety Program policy 3500.
• P.O.S.T. certification preferred.

Responsible for the safe de-escalation of critical events and the use of sound judgment in the engagement with combative or escalating subjects.

• Must pass pre-employment psychological screening Required
• Must pass and maintain all training requirements to maintain employment to include certifications in Taser, ASP Baton, Mental Health First Aid, and others as directed Required
• Georgia Peace Officer Standards & Training (P.O.S.T.) certification Preferred
