Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a full-time Public Safety Officer to monitor and protect Advocate Health property, respond to emergencies, and coordinate with local law enforcement. Qualifications

• Licensed/Certified law enforcement officer (state certs)
• Basic Law Enforcement Training completed
• Degree/field: Criminal Justice or equivalent
• 2 years of public safety/general law enforcement experience preferred
• Ability to work independently in stressful situations
• Valid driver’s license and background checks cleared

Responsibilities

• Intervene in unruly or dangerous situations
• Apprehend and arrest individuals when needed
• Investigate criminal activity within jurisdiction
• Respond to routine and emergency calls for assistance
• Complete incident reports and documentation
• Coordinate with community police agencies
• Provide armed response to imminent threats
• Prepare cases for court and testify as required
