Towson University is seeking a Public Safety Officer who will enhance campus safety through diligent patrolling, enforcement of regulations, and engaging with the community. Candidates must possess a high school diploma, valid driver's license, and be prepared for various shifts, including weekends. Full benefits and competitive salary are offered.

The Public Safety Officer enforces university rules and regulations pertaining to parking, conduct and safety. The Public Safety Officer conducts routine security activities to protect university buildings, and property, to safeguard occupants and visitors. This position is classified as Essential personnel and candidates will be required to work various shifts including weekends and holidays

Qualifications and Skills
Except for qualifications established by law, additional related experience and formal education in which one has gained the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for full performance of the work of the job class may be substituted for the education or experience requirement on a year-for-year basis with 30 college credits being equivalent to one year of experience.
Applicants must submit to and successfully pass a thorough background investigation. Candidates selected for employment may be subject to medical inquiries and / or medical examinations to determine ability to perform the job. Employees in this job class may be subject to pre-employment and random drug testing.
Salary and Benefits
