Job summary

Piedmont Newnan Hospital is seeking a security professional to handle routine safety and emergency security activities. You will be a first responder to incidents within the facility, safeguarding patients, staff, visitors and property. The role requires de-escalation skills and sound judgment when engaging with escalating individuals.

Education requirements include a high school diploma or GED. No experience is required, though 2 years in security or public safety is preferred.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED required.
• No experience required; 2 years in security/public safety preferred.
• IAHSS Certification within 1 year required.
• Pre-employment psychological screening required.
• Must complete training (Taser, ASP Baton, Mental Health First Aid, etc.).
• Georgia POST certification preferred.

• Must pass pre-employment psychological screening Required
• Must pass and maintain all training requirements to maintain employment to include certifications in Taser, ASP Baton, Mental Health First Aid, and others as directed Required
• Georgia Peace Officer Standards & Training (P.O.S.T.) certification Preferred
