Responsibilities

The Security Officer performs security services, including electronic surveillance and systematic manual rounds. They coordinate the facility's response to potential problems affecting patients, employees, and visitors. The officer enforces policies and procedures, ensuring equitable application. They follow guidelines and monitoring techniques to establish a safe workplace and environment of care. The officer collaborates with the Environment of Care committee to ensure a multidisciplinary approach to security and safety. Participation in employee awareness and education is also required. Driving for company business may be necessary as well.

Qualifications

Education, Experience, and Training

• Experience in healthcare security or related field preferred
• State Guard Certification Registration Card
• High School Diploma or equivalent required

Facility-specific requirements (may vary by facility):

• State Driver’s license upon hire
• Current DMV H6 report or driving history report

St. Francis Medical Center offers competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package including paid time off, a 401(k) retirement plan, medical, dental, and vision coverage, tuition reimbursement, and other voluntary benefits. The estimated total compensation for this role ranges from $21.00 to $27.24 per hour, depending on factors such as experience, education, credentials, and licensure. The exact starting salary will be determined at the time of hire.
