POSITION SUMMARY:

The Goodman Public Safety Officer is responsible for maintaining a safe working environment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

NOTE: Goodman Realty Group may unilaterally change the requirements of this job description at any time. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. These include, but are not limited to, the following:

1. Attends daily roll call briefings regarding safety-related information.
2. Attends debriefs with those involved in critical incidents to review tactical considerations.
3. Ensures the next shift is adequately briefed on all necessary incidents involving operational safety.
4. Completes daily logs and incident reports.
5. Ensures common areas, parking lots, and properties are routinely inspected for safety hazards and/or damage to property and/or signs.
6. Completes necessary reports for repair and/or replacement of public safety-related equipment, in a timely manner, to the Director/Chief of Public Safety.
7. Collaborates with contractors to preserve traffic flow and public safety.
8. Develops relationships with local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies to facilitate additional resources and collaboration as needed.
9. Maintains operational awareness of local events and issues concerning any Goodman Realty Group property, including new security measures, civil liability issues, Homeland Security bulletins, among others.
10. Performs other duties as assigned by the Sergeant of Public Safety and/or their designee.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS (INCLUDES EDUCATION, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE):

11. Ability to follow the chain-of-command and obey written and verbal orders.
12. Willingness to prioritize the needs of others to ensure safety.
13. Ability to perform dynamically in rapidly evolving dangerous situations.
14. Valid New Mexico driver's license, vehicle insurance, good driving record, and reliable vehicle.
