Job summary

Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is seeking a Project Manager 1 to drive IT projects from concept to implementation within the PSITDC. The role emphasizes planning, coordination, and leadership across public safety tech initiatives and stakeholder groups.

The position supports hybrid work with standard hours 8:00 AM–4:00 PM, and telework up to two days per week where approved. A background check and CJIS compliance are required. Work from Mechanicsburg HQ may be available.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience leading IT projects as described, or
• Bachelor’s degree with two years’ IT project leadership experience, or
• Equivalent combination of experience and training in IT project leadership

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain detailed project plans for all phases of assigned IT projects.
• Define project scope, monitor changes, and document approvals.
• Identify risks and issues and implement mitigation strategies.
• Coordinate with technical teams and stakeholders to produce required documents.
• Monitor schedules, milestones, and take corrective action as needed.
• Develop communications plans and keep staff informed of timelines and expectations.
