Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of IT project management experience.
• PMP certification required; US citizenship.
• Experience managing large-scale network or public safety programs.
• Proficiency with MS Project, Jira, Smartsheet; PMI or Agile/hybrid methods.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to present to non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead all phases of the engagement from Startup and Planning through Operations Support.
• Develop, maintain, and execute the Project Management Plan with schedules, risks, and communications.
• Serve as liaison to CAL FIRE leadership; coordinate status reporting and executive briefings.
• Manage cross-functional teams; resolve resource conflicts and maintain accountability.
• Oversee knowledge transfer and onboarding; ensure readiness for network responsibility.
• Establish and monitor SLAs, KPIs, and operational metrics during Operations Support.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate risks; escalate issues to Peraton leadership and CAL FIRE as needed.
• Manage subcontractor and vendor relationships; ensure contract compliance.
• Ensure activities comply with state IT procurement standards, NIMS/ICS, and regulations.
