Job summary

The Department of Public Safety (DPS) seeks a Vehicle & Equipment Technician to service and repair over 500 vehicles and equipment at the Fort Ethan Allen Complex in Colchester, VT. You will join a small team with two other technicians, a Shop Supervisor, a Data Entry Clerk, a Program Specialist, and the Fleet Manager.

Qualified applicants have four years of automotive maintenance experience, a trade-school/technician background, and may need a Vermont Inspection license within 60 days.

Qualifications

• Four (4) years or more of experience servicing, maintaining, and repairing automotive equipment.
• Completion of trade school or technician program, or other relevant training or certification.
• Experience with diagnostics and/or welding.
