Job summary

Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital seeks a dedicated security officer to protect patients, staff, visitors, and property through routine safety and emergency security activities.

You will be the first responder to incidents within the facility and must safely de-escalate volatile situations, using sound judgment when engaging with potentially combative individuals. A high school diploma and security experience are required.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• 2 years of experience in general security or related public safety.
• Pre-employment psychological screening required and reliance on training/certifications.

Responsibilities

• Safeguard students, employees, visitors, patients and property through routine safety and emergency security activities.
• First responder to all emergency incidents within the assigned facility.
• Safely de-escalate critical events with sound judgment when engaging with combative or escalating subjects.
