Job summary

The City of West Hollywood is seeking a diligent Public Safety Coordinator for its Public Safety Division. This role focuses on organizing and overseeing municipal emergency operations, disaster response services, and training personnel and the community in preparedness and response protocols.

You will liaise with external agencies to coordinate action, review policies, and supervise disaster relief volunteers, ensuring responsive and effective safety services for the city’s residents and events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 4–5 years of related experience or equivalent.
• Experience organizing emergency operations and disaster response training.

Responsibilities

• Organize and oversee municipal emergency operations and disaster response services.
• Train staff and community in emergency preparedness and response protocols.
• Review and revise safety policies and plans.
• Coordinate with external agencies to facilitate coordinated emergency action.
