The Public Safety Coordinator is an unarmed non‑uniformed position that will assist the Director and Manager of Public Safety with administrative duties. The role will be responsible for public safety initiatives and functions such as security technology, including access control, surveillance and investigations, panic buttons and alarms, visitor management and weapons detection. The coordinator will also collaborate with Public Safety leaders across shifts to ensure all colleagues receive training in accordance with STHS Public Safety policies and procedures. Responsibilities include preparing security department statistics, running monthly and quarterly incident reports, maintaining the property room, ordering equipment and uniforms, and managing inventory. The coordinator will oversee parking and transportation contracts, coordinate security services for all off‑site locations, deliver de‑escalation and taser training, and work with external vendors to maintain firearm certifications. The role may also perform supervisory duties, respond to emergencies, and enforce all security policies and procedures.
