The City of Inver Grove Heights is seeking Police Cadets to support the Police Department in a non-sworn, limited-term capacity. Cadets work under the Police Sergeant, averaging 16 hours per week and may be in a position for up to three years.

Responsibilities include public outreach, assisting sworn officers, animal control coordination, and enforcing parking ordinances. Candidates must be 18+, hold a valid Minnesota driver’s license, and pass a thorough background check.

Qualifikationen

• Must be accepted/enrolled into a regionally accredited college/university law enforcement program (not required to be registered for classes).
• Pursuit of a Bachelor's degree will be highly encouraged.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have and maintain a valid driver's license accepted by the state.
• Background investigation will be conducted.
• Must not have disqualifying felony history under MN statutes.
