Job summary

Pinellas Police Standards Council is seeking an experienced, strategic Executive Director to lead PASS, which provides pre-employment screening for 14 local law enforcement agencies and administers the state-mandated Equivalency of Training program.

Reporting to the Chair, the Executive Director will provide organizational leadership, program administration, regulatory compliance, and financial oversight, while building strong relationships with diverse stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• Eight or more years of relevant professional experience in management, administration, public safety, regulatory compliance, or a related field.
• Equivalent combinations of the above education and experience will be considered.
• Demonstrated leadership, supervisory, organizational, and decision-making abilities.
• Experience in budget administration, policy development, regulatory interpretation, or program management.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare reports, deliver presentations, and work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
• Valid Florida driver license, which must be maintained throughout employment.

• Provide financial oversight and develop stakeholder relations.
• Oversee PASS operations and report to the Chair of the Pinellas Police Standards Council.
