Job summary

Avenue Z is seeking a Junior Associate to join our Public Relations team. This entry-level role offers hands-on experience across campaigns for diverse clients, with mentorship from senior team members.

You will draft press materials, support media relations, and assist in coordinating campaigns while learning the foundations of strategic communications. The hybrid workplace blends collaboration with flexible schedules.

• Support account teams in managing client relationships, including preparing meeting notes and follow-ups.
• Draft and edit press releases, media pitches, and other written materials.
• Assist in the development of compelling story angles and client narratives.
• Conduct research to support client campaigns, including audience insights and competitor analyses.
• Build foundational skills in media relations, including compiling media lists and identifying press opportunities.
• Monitor media coverage and industry trends, preparing summary reports for internal teams and clients.
• Support day-to-day coordination of PR campaigns, ensuring deliverables are completed on time.
• Collaborate with team members to manage timelines, prioritize tasks, and address project needs.
• Work closely with senior team members to gain exposure to various aspects of PR and strategic communications.
• Actively participate in brainstorming sessions, internal trainings, and team meetings.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or a related field

Competitive salary range: $60,000 to $65,000 USD.
